Twitter Indulgences

Abraham's Seed

The spark that lit the reformation fire in 16th century Europe was the continuing theological debate over indulgences.

What Are Indulgences?

The Roman catholic system of theology is based around the supposed duel nature of punishment- eternal and temporal. The eternal punishment due for sin is washed away at baptism, but sinners are still subject to the temporal consequences of sin – either in this life or after it in purgatory. The Pope has the special power to offer remission of this temporal guilt by offering grace for acts of special religious significance – taking pilgrimages, visiting relics, and performing other special acts of devotion. The belief is that saints of old merited far more positive merit with God that demanded for their salvation. This abundance of merit is treasured up in heaven, available to be dispensed by the Pope as a reward for special acts of obedience.

Ten Things Women Want

Ten Things Women Want

All humans have the need to feel loved and significant.

Logo_ontransparent convertedTherefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. Rom 5:1-2

Epic Fail:  If we make another human our source for love and significance, our needs will never be met.

You cannot base your relationship on the ability of your spouse to meet your needs.  Although, it is your job to put the needs of your spouse above your own.

Husbands and wives…submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Eph 5:21

The Christian Post reports:

The mass exodus of millions of Christians from one part of the Islamic world to another as the result of persecution by Muslims has reached epidemic proportions, says a Middle East and Islam expert. In fact, Christians may completely disappear from Iraq, Afghanistan, and Egypt, warns the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom. “This matter of Muslim persecution of Christians is a humanitarian crisis at this point,” said Raymond Ibrahim in a recent interview with Robert Spencer, director of Jihad Watch. Ibrahim is the author of the recently released book, Crucified Again: Exposing Islam’s New War on Christians.

“We are reliving the true history of how the Islamic world, much of which prior…

Broke Benny asks for millions of dollars

News that matters

Televangelist Benny Hinn has asked supporters of his ministry for USD 2.5 million in donations.

Hinn claims  an anonymous donor will match dollar by dollar to help him get out of debt.

“God wants your ministry to be completely out of debt, and I want to plant an anointed seed that will help you take a giant step toward becoming totally debt-free!” says the anonymous man, whom Hinn calls a “long-time and beloved” friend.

“God has laid it on my heart to plant a seed of USD 2.5 million into your ministry, but God only wants me to make this gift if the ministry partners match the amount within 90 days! I feel so strongly that He wants them to be part of the supernatural wealth transfer that is coming to every believer who will obey God’s Word,” the man reportedly adds.

Here is another country doing whatever it takes to achieve 100% Isalmic faith within its borders. Read, also, how Morocco is trying to achieve similar results here- Morocco considers death penalty for apostasy.

The story on Iraq is being reported from

iraqChrist followers in Iraq date back to the first century A.D., making it one of the oldest Christian communities in the world. But today, Christianity in Iraq is under serious threat. Similarly, the wetland marshes, once teeming with flora and fauna, were drained to desert over a decade ago.

What’s more, it seems this attitude is part of a growing trend. Open Doors minister-at-large Paul Estabrooks explains, “The Christians are being told, ‘We want a Muslim-only nation. We do not want any Christians here.’ This is similar to what is going on today in northern Sudan.”

As a result, Christians in Iraq continue to be targets of violent attacks…
